It’s important that students get a chance to experience what it’s like to work professionally in a commercial environment, especially if they can participate in projects of social relevance. This contest is the perfect example of such an opportunity because it challenges both student creativity and executive marketing.
People produce a lot of waste. Recycling and upcycling are more than ever essential to our future. If we can change our way of thinking and designing, it has to be possible to turn our waste into something useful. For students, our future designers, this is the ideal chance to discover new production processes, make smart choices of materials and come up with durable solutions.
